I also made two trips to two different Staples today in search of the free paper! Read about it here. I only intended to make one trip, but the first Staples I visited only had seven reams of paper left. They also would not accept my coupon ($10 off $50 Office Depot- find link at hip2save.com), because they said the print was too small. Which it really was, and I didn't even notice until I got there. I still bought the seven reams of paper, in case there wouldn't be any at the other store. It still was a great deal! It came out to only $1.00 per ream (after the rebate), and I will earn $4.80 Rewards Points for my purchase since I used my Staples rewards card; the Staples rewards program gives back 10% on paper purchases (by ream or case).
So, I came home and reprinted the coupons, and returned to another Staples which had tons of paper left! I bought 8 more packs, and my mom bought 5 more. Whew, what a lot of paper!
We got 19 reams in all; two of them are not pictured here as they are already opened and being used :). Our total amount spent after rebates and rewards is a profit of $6.24! Woo hoo! I don't think I'll ever have to buy paper again. At least not for a very, very long time :).
Tonight I made 2 quick stops at Giant and Walmart and scrounged up some fantastic deals! The cashier at Walmart was shocked by the savings, as my bill was cut in half after the coupons were deducted from my total. Here is the breakdown of all of my items:
